Some say that you have to talk to Bobby first. You don't. Some say that after giving blood to the doctor, you have to go to Sanctuary and sleep overnight. You don't. If you go to Vault 81 early in the game to get the Spray n' Pray and Overseer's Guardian, then when it comes time to go to Diamond City, the best way to go is by way of Vault 81. Go in and restock your SnP ammo and sell stuff at the Depot. Go to the school room and tell the kids a story to earn a Magazine (optionial). Go to the doctor's office and give blood. (I've found that Wikia.com is one of the rare places that has the facts about the mission right. Rather than repeat it all here, I'll refer you to that page. Be sure to read the Notes on that page as well.) One suggested addition to the Wikia is that after giving blood, you can spend the time away from the Vault (I don't think that it has to be 24 hours as said on Wikia) going to Diamond City and doing the Kitty Kitty mission along the way. If you haven't been to the produce stand north-northeast of Vault 81 to get 2 Day Trippers, go there first. The Kitty Kitty mission will take you along the northern edge of the circular body of water to the east of Vault 81. After sending Ashes back, continue on to Diamond City. Along the way to Diamond City, you may run into a woman asking for help who ducks into the store Hardware Town. Since you have very powerful weapons now, you can go in after her if you wish. The benefit is that the back of the store has blue paint, yellow paint, and a paint mixer. Mix some green and save it for a side mission in Diamond City. Visit the merchants and explore Diamond CIty, then fast travel back to Vault 81. Make Kitty Kitty the current mission and finish that, then go to the Doctor's office and follow Bobby to the secret Vault. Cheating A Cheat: The easiest way to get |
